In between Argentine adventures with moms, tio, and tia, Mel and I were able to score what I think is going to be a PERFECT 2-bedroom, 1- bath, 1 porch, 1 pantry, several-closet, 1 BIG backyard apartment!! It is the second floor of a house located just a few steps outside of Davis Square, and a pleasant walk from 160 Packard Ave.

I owe the gran aplausa to Mel who doubled as rental agency and two of her wonderful friends who went to check out places for us.  Mil gracias and besos to such wonderful and generous friends.  And, so, contrary to reoccurring dreams of a year off in Buenos Aires, Brazil, and a few other wonderful places, I’m thrilled to be gearing up for my first year at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy this fall!

I just love it when you get that feeling that everything is lining up perfectly. Tonight at Las Lilas, the most fabulous 5-star parilla meal on the waterfront of Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires, we overheard a former Fletcher student raving about the school and his wonderful experience as a graduate student there.  Herein lies the beginning of the infamous Fletcher connections!

Until then, stay tuned for more Argentine adventures! Here are two shots of our new 2nd floor apartment at 377 Highland Avenue, Somerville, MA:

Lots of love from Asi es la vida en Argentina! Tomorrow the entourage is off to Tigre for some ecological encounters. Next up: Photo tour of San Telmo, why Buenos Aires is a “livable city”, and a political update desde BA. Stay tuned!
